WHAT IS IT
Onychomycosis is a common condition that is not particularly dangerous, but it does cause a very unattractive nail appearance. The condition is sometimes referred to as fungal nail, and involves the nail becoming more yellowish in colour, sometimes crumbling with a deteriorated look to it.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
If needed, the specialist will clean and clip most of the infected nail, followed by pulses on the nail with the laser. The laser does not disturb the skin surrounding the infected nail meaning that there is only slight discomfort. Most clients say that they experience mild heat sensation. The treatment takes about 15 minutes.

Treatment depends on the severity of the infection. Clients need to remember that nail fungus is not an easy skin condition, and some conditions can be resistant to treatment.
