What is it?
Alopecia refers to hair loss from any part of the body for any reason. There are several types, ranging from thinning hair to complete baldness. Alopecia is broadly classified into two categories.
In non-scarring alopecia, the hair follicles are still alive and hair can be grown.
In scarring alopecia, the hair follicles are destroyed and will not regrow hair. Androgenic alopecia, also known as "male pattern baldness" and “female pattern baldness,” can strike younger as well as older people.
It's genetic, so having a family history can predict if you might inherit it. In both men and women, it's linked to having an excess of male hormones (androgens) around the hair follicles, which can block hair growth.
Factors that contribute to the hair loss: heredity, medications, chemicals, diseases, stress and hormonal disturbances and deficiency of nutrients. Thinning hair is a source of embarrassment for many adults, both men and women alike.

MORE ABOUT OUR LIGHT AND PLATELET TREATMENTS:
Light Therapy - This is a non-invasive procedure that requires the patient sit beneath a paneled device. The laser Light help to reduce further hair loss and increase hair regrowth by acting as a follicle stimulator, increasing energy, blood flow and oxygen to the scalp. Each session is painless and lasts approximately 20 minutes.
Platelet Treatment - The human body is equipped with a complex system for repairing injuries and replacing old and dying tissue. Our blood contains stem cells that can develop into connective tissues as needed, as well as essential and specific growth factors that promote growth, regeneration, and healing. When blood is separated in a centrifuge to isolate platelet-rich plasma (PRP), these factors are present in higher concentrations.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments depend on the stage your hair loss is at. We recommend you come in for a complimentary consultation to have one of our specialists take a look and map out a treatment course specific to your needs.
